Two sayings walked into a bush. This is what happened.

The early bird catches the worm. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Somewhere along the way these two got tangled up — and honestly? We think it's better this way.

This pint-sized pennant features two stylized birds and a couple of very optimistic worms, printed in light blue and orange ink on sunny yellow felt with hand-sewn blue trim. It's cute enough to distract you from the fact that it makes absolutely no sense.

Part of an ongoing series celebrating the noble art of the mixaphor — because sometimes two perfectly good sayings are better scrambled together.

Perfect for: word nerds, English teachers, people who talk too fast, anyone who has confidently said the wrong thing, and fans of the "you say tomato, I say how high" pennant.
